Part time Health and Safety Officer - Twickenham

Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional, looking for a part time opportunity? If so, this could be just the job!

Marble Hill Fireplaces are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Officer with a background in Construction,Architecture or Engineering to work one or two days per week at their prestigious showroom in Twickenham. The hours are flexible but would involve a minimum of 8 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Conducting audits and risk assessments, arranging training for fireplace fitters, toolbox talks and inductions and investigating incidents where required
• Assisting with creating and implementing new Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Implementing  a positive Health and Safety culture within the company
• Acquiring CHAS certification each year for the company

Essential requirements include:

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
• Experience of Health and Safety within construction/architecture or engineering industries
• The ability to communicate and engage with all levels of personnel
• Tenacious and persuasive personality
• Previous  experience in HR capacity would be useful (not essential)
