Project Overview

For Grovenor House, a landmark high-end private residence in the heart of London. We collaborated with leading property developer Charybdis to deliver a series of architectural gas fireplaces tailored to the bar, lounge, and principal bedroom. Each fireplace was chosen not just for heat and function but as a design feature that elevates the ambience and spatial flow of its environment.

Working closely with the interior and development teams, we specified and installed three Barbas Bellfires gas fires: the Horizon Tunnel Large, Horizon XXL, and the Derby model, each integrated with bespoke fireplace surrounds chimney breast, media walls and flue systems. In the formal lounge, the Derby model is framed by a commanding Cambridge mantel, custom-fabricated in honed limestone for a timeless and elegant finish.

The Fireplace

This multi-zone installation showcases the versatility of Barbas Bellfires gas fireplaces, renowned for their clean lines, efficiency, and high-end visual impact:

Horizon Tunnel Large: A double-sided gas fireplace installed between the bar and adjacent lounge space, creating a visual and atmospheric link between entertaining zones.
Horizon XXL: A wide-format feature fire, wall-mounted in the principal bedroom to provide ambient warmth and a sleek architectural finish.
Derby: Installed in the main lounge, this classic glass-fronted gas fire is paired with a large Cambridge mantel in honed limestone, offering heritage elegance with modern performance.

Each model was selected for its advanced balanced flue system, high flame realism, and seamless integration with the home’s contemporary aesthetic.
